About the Authors and Illustrator

Angela O'Brien was born and raised in Portland, Oregon.  She graduated from Pacific Lutheran University in Tacoma, WA with a degree in Journalism and Music.  Angela now lives in Los Angeles, CA and works in the entertainment industry, mostly in award show and sitcom production.  Although she has a lot of experience in publications and PR writing, the Max and Indie series is her first endeavor in the children's book genre.  Her cat Max was one half of the inspiration for Max and Indie Come Home.  In her free time, Angela enjoys traveling, reading, cooking, sports, and word games (such as SCRABBLE and crossword puzzles). She currently resides in North Hollywood, CA

Kerry Moynahan grew up in San Jose, CA and moved to Los Angeles County after receiving her Bachelor of Arts in Cinema Production from San Francisco State University. Kerry began her career working on numerous sitcoms, reality programs and films before earning a spot as a Production Coordinator in the International Alliance of Theatrical Stage Employees, Moving Picture Technicians, Artists and Allied Crafts Union (IATSE).  She also climbed the ranks in Television and Entertainment News as the Visual Producer for E! News and The Daily 10 on the cable network, E!.  Currently Kerry is back in production on various sitcoms by day, and working with longtime friend Angela O’Brien on more stories to tell about their twin cats Max and Indie, by night.

This is illustrator Mark Satter’s first time bringing a picture book to life. Mark graduated from Indiana University with a degree in Fine Arts and currently resides in Carmel, IN with his wife Melody and their bulldog / beagle mix, Penny Elaine.
