Max & Indie in the Press

When you open your heart up to love, even the furry kind, life requires a series of adjustments. Max & Indie Come Home tells the story of two sisters who adopt some kittens from a local animal shelter. They plan everything in advance before bringing their kittens home, but nothing could prepare them for the rambunctious Max and his shy sister Indie.

As the two sisters adapt to life with their sibling kittens they find that they must adjust not only to the needs of their new feline companions, but to the differences in their personalities. Max and Indie are as different as night and day. Max & Indie Come Home illustrates for us the rewards of pet adoption as well as the responsibility of bringing an animal into your home. This bright and colorful book is a great bridge to initiate a discussion with your child before adopting. It is also entertaining enough to read in its own right. Max & Indie will purr their way into your heart and hopefully open it enough to make room for a pet of your own.

..I went on line to check out information about adoption and through pages and pages of links, webpages, and blogs I ran across a children’s book that caught my attention. “Max & Indie Come Home”, written by Kerry Moyanahan and Angela O’Brien, illustrated by Mark Satter.

The book tells the story of how Max and Indie get adopted and go home with Sammy and Sydney, two sisters that after watching a report on TV about an animal shelter decide to add a pet to their family and decide what to get...

New Book: Kittens Teaching Kids Values

“Max and Indie Come Home” is a new children’s book designed to teach children important life values -- such as, responsibility, patience, and trustworthiness. The story features two adorable kittens who, after being adopted by sisters from a local animal shelter, begin a exciting journey together as they adapt to their new environment.

“Max and Indie Come Home” is geared to teach children the ability to adapt to new people and situations and is the first of a series written by authors Kerry Moynahan and Angela O’Brien.

The book was inspired by the writer’s and her cat’s move from Los Angeles to New York City, and thought it would be fun to write semi-fictional stories teaching kids about dealing with change.

“Max and Indie Come Home” will be available online at Amazon.com, BarnesandNoble.com, as well as the book’s official site MaxandIndie.com.
